Historic property worth a quick spin through to browse the artifacts even if you don’t stay at the hotel. Order a drink get walk the property. Complimentary parking for first hour, 15$ for next 2 hours. If you are in to nostalgia and old money charm you would enjoy it. It’s impressive in size but dated to put it simple. Not a ton of staff for property size it seemed. Boutiques are definitely high end hotel price but typically quality. At around 420$ a night, you can stay and play. Parking 35/45$ pn. Food basic. Bar basic. One night or weekend sure, I think I would be bored with a week long stay. Come for the golf, stay for the nostalgic experience.

My wife and I had great 4 days at Grove Park Inn including the New Years Celebration. Everything was amazing. The food was delicious at the Edison and Blue Ridge. Elaine’s Piano Bar was fun. The sports club is a great amenity. The staff made the visit perfect, of note are the gentleman that makes omelets at breakfast and Captain Bob (he was super friendly and made some great suggestions).

Beautiful hotel. Excellent food. Switched our dinner reservations to the buffet restaurant on Friday night. It was an excellent choice. Turns out it was seafood night and EVERYONE was stoked for the king crab legs. Plus shrimp, oysters, muscles, etc. Also, lots of gluten free options. Also, the spa was AMAZING. It is an all day event. There are indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, wet & dry saunas, and cafe service.

We didn't stay here, we just came for dinner at the Blue Ridge Artisanal Buffet. They have a prime rib buffet on Saturday nights, and it is simply STELLAR! Hands down it is the best buffet I've ever been to. The prime rib is excellent, and there are so many great other dishes. Come hungry! We've been twice and both times were amazing. The atmosphere of the hotel is also really unique, with a very cool lobby with two large wood burning fireplaces, and a great view with outdoor seating to watch the sunset. At Christmas Time the decorations are beautiful, and there's an annual gingerbread house competition that's very cool as well. Next time we'd love to stay in the hotel!

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said in the previous 10K+ reviews?! It is in a league of its own! I have stayed here multiple times and each year it gets better and better. Right when you pull up to the Grove Park you always get this inviting and happy feeling that no other resorts can offer. The staff are always super friendly and helpful with anything including giving history on the hotel. This was my first time going at Christmas so I was able to see how much time and effort they put in to decorate and make everything feel like home! As an AMEX Platinum member I was able to book our stay with my credit card and enjoy some additional "perks" while we were there. The most enjoyable one was the complimentary breakfast each morning at the Blue Ridge restaurant. The views, food and service were remarkable. Even if you aren't able to get a reservation, I highly recommend you do NOT pass up stopping by here for a drink and/or just a quick walk-thru to experience the ambiance of the Grove Park Inn!

This was our third trip to the Grove Park in recent years. Our previous visits were restful and peaceful in a relaxing haven, each time drawing us to come back again for a retreat. This visit at Christmas was much different. We expected more guests due to the Gingerbread display, but nothing like what we experienced. After paying a nearly double the typical room rate, we were thoroughly disappointed that we were not able to enjoy the resort amenities or even see all the gingerbread display due to the droves of non-hotel guests arriving by the bus load (yes, non-hotel were being dropped off by the bus load). We waited in line over 45 minutes for a $15 hot chocolate and were offered a gingerbread cookie broken in multiple pieces (because that's all they had left) for an additional $7. Getting a rocking chair or any seat in the lobby was impossible, as people were hanging out everywhere for hours due to the long gingerbread lines that extended into the lobby. Breakfast was equally frustrating. Too many people, not taking reservations to help manage the wait times, and not enough servers to adequately manage tables or provide refills dominated the experience. Overall, I would not return at Christmas unless assurances were in place that hotel guests would get to experience the resort that they've paid a premium to enjoy. I'm highly disappointed that we paid over $650 per night in a basic room and didn't get to enjoy the resort amenities due to severe overcrowding. And finally, after getting a late checkout prior to our arrival and confirmed at check-in, our keys were deactivated and we were locked out of our room at the regular check-out time. Overall, this visit did not meet expectations for this resort.

Visited the hotel for the Friday night seafood buffet. They accept reservations, so make one in advance to ensure you do not have a long wait. Lots of variety on the buffet, and well worth the $60 charge. The waiter was subpar but would not hinder my choice to return. The ambiance of the hotel is quite nice. We enjoyed drinks from the bar that were also family-friendly and delicious. The seating in/around the fire place was very relaxing. The view from the outdoor area was beautiful!

5 stars all the way. Omni Grove Park Inn is an incredible property with tons to do without ever leaving the resort. The Dueling Piano Bar was a blast and the spa is easily one of the best I’ve experienced — worth the trip alone. We did have a minor issue with our room during our stay, but Caroline, the manager on property, handled it quickly and professionally. Great service, great atmosphere, and an easy decision to come back. We’ll definitely be returning.
